Tshechu festivals are celebrated throughout Bhutan on the tenth day of a month according to the lunar calendar corresponding to the birthday of Guru Rinpoche who is highly regarded as the second Buddha. However, the exact month of the festival varies from places to places. The Tshechu festival is a great occasion to meet and interact with the locals and take photographs as the local communities come together to witness the religious mask dances and receive blessings and socialize.
